DUWOP BLUSH THERAPY!!!

You know you're in L.A. When even your blush is suppose to be talking to someone..
Meg's Make-up does its very best to get as high a quantity as possible of the featured product. We help you to decide what to buy (we hope). Don't take it from me....Here's what 15 of my friends think. That said, we were only able to secure a very limited quantity from the esteemed beauty house that is DuWop. Don't fault 'em, they just had a very limited supply of the stuff on hand. The reviews will be limited on this item. It doesn't mean anything other then we had very few to send out.
Whenever I see the DuWop line (which, if you subscribe to the beauty mags is often) they are always "editor picks" products. DuWop sent us over the very popular "BLUSH THERAPY". Here's how they describe the product.."Close your eyes and imagine the perfect blush: A velvety cream formula (never before seen in a stick form) with the translucency of a gel. Now add a cooling sensation and the aromatherapy of custom blended essential oils built right into the cap".
Meg's Make-Up will be following up with DuWop to see if they'll send us out a few more to even out the reviews. In the meantime, will the lucky ladies that received the BLUSH THERAPY please post if they felt closer to finding themselves after use??

I've never been that impressed with the Blush Therapy. Which makes me said because I really like DuWop and they've really revamped their line recently with some awesome stuff. I used to be a cream blush skeptic and these days I rarely wear a powder anymore. Anyhoo, the blush therapy is too dry and its not easily blendable. The colors arent that fabulous anyhow - there's only four and theyre all too orange-red or too mauve-y. Nars makes good cream blushes (Guele de Nuit and Cactus Flower are my two fave colors). You can't fail with the Tarte gel cheek stains (Cloud 9 or Tickled) or of course one of my Top 3 the Stainiac in Beauty Queen by the Balm. Stick to Lip Venom.

I was really excited to recieve the Du-Wop Blush Therapy in Vivaldi. This is one of those lines that I am constantly reading or hearing about, but have yet to sample their products. Now, I know why I keep hearing about this brand - great packaging, high quality make-up in smashing colors! I love this cream blush for a low-key day time look. My color, Vivaldi, is a deep but bright pink, that gives a fresh-faced, happy glow. It blended really well into my skin - no smears or lines -and just gave me a natural looking, dewy glow. Me likey!Plus the packaging is brilliant! It's like a chap stick tube for your checks! No brushes needed. Just smear a little on the apples of your checks and blend for an all day youthful glow. Love it!

I've always wanted to like cream blushes. I've got this romantic idea of a light flush (like you had when you used to run around as a kid) that you can only get from cream. I buy them constantly, wear them a few times but then they sit in limbo in the back of my vainty, as I always go back to powder. I have to say, this is the best cream blush I've ever tried. I tested the color "retreat" which is the color of a cherry popsicle in the tube. Why is this one so much better than the others I've tried, you ask? Well, it's truly creamy, easy to blend, sheer, and the scent is really unexpected and lovely (I mean really, scented blush?). The clincher for me? My hubby told me I was "all glowy". Sold!!

Gorgeous blush! I like everything about this blush - I like the ease of the glide on stick, the fresh lavender smell, but I especially love the day-glo cool of the color YOGA! YOGA is a bright apricot that goes on a lot more tame than it looks, however I find myself using more each time since I feel so retro cool wearing it. This is not the cheapest blush around but it does last longer than other creme blushes I've used and the whole line of colors is fab, so I am sold.

I liked having a cream that you don't need to use your fingers to apply it. It also goes on light, the old blush sticks used to go on like a blob of color. It's great for on the go and the scent is a definite plus!

I have the color "Retreat". It's a great warm, rosey shade that looks great when it's on, but to be honest, it's not my favorite. The smell makes me a little bit nauseous. I'm a little sensitive to really strong smells and this one's a stinker. It was so bad, the hubby, a former high school wrestler, was like, "Are you wearing Ben-Gay or something?" *swoons from embarrassment* The color looks great once on, but it turns a bit orangey after a little bit and I RARELY have a problem with blushes changing colors on me. It was also dry and hard to blend on my cheeks using the stick as an applicator, I had to apply using the fingers-to-cheek method so my fingers could warm up the product first. Sadly, I just don't reach for it when there are so many other more worthy blush candidates. (Pssst...Bobbi Brown Rouge Pots are a similar depth, much creamier, and have great staying power and DON'T smell like incense.)

Maybe it's just my skin but this streaked on me AND refused to blend. I hate it.

i really want to like cream blush sticks but i feel gross after using them, all my dead skin etc is now on the stick... then theres the blotches i find them to dry really fast as well. the outcome, i look like someone punched me on the cheekbones.

I tried this on in Sephora the other day and it was unfortunately not the best. I think it was just the brand's first (unsuccessful) attempt at jummping on the cream blush bandwagon - like ollie said, it also streaked on me and I didn't really like the color either. I tihnk I'll stick with my powder blushes :]

this blush looks great. however, the non-powder kinds of blush are harder to apply on my face. im sure it would probably work better for other people though. i wish this would work on me!

I also love Duwop's "cheek venom", I hadn't used it for awhile, then I saw it on beautyticket.com and ordered some more and I am so glad I did! It gives a really healthy, glowing flush, and it lasts all day, and my days are at least 12 hours long!

Kimchi says,

Cream blushes are scary to me because they have the potential to cause breakouts.  That being said, I still adore how they look and wish I could wear them!  The second biggest concern is how forgiving it is during blending.  It's easier to cover powder blush mishaps than cream ones.

I don't really care for this type of application.  But this brand has had good reviews.
